Where we work

Bespoke software and app development across the north west

We're a software company in Bury, Greater Manchester. We build the systems and iPhone and Android apps that operational businesses run on, host them in the UK, and look after them for as long as you keep them. Most of our work is in the north west, and the rest of the UK is a video call away.

01

The area we cover

Across the region

  • Greater Manchester: Bury, Bolton, Rochdale, Oldham, Salford, Manchester, Wigan, Stockport, Tameside and Trafford
  • Lancashire: Blackburn, Burnley, Preston, Blackpool and Lancaster
  • Cheshire and Merseyside
  • West Yorkshire
  • The rest of the UK, over video calls

A business in Bolton or Burnley gets the same thing as one round the corner from the office: a fixed price in writing, a first system usually live in weeks, and the same people looking after it for as long as you keep the system.

Most of a project happens on calls and shared screens, so being forty miles away changes very little about how it runs. Where being local does help is the handful of moments when it is worth being in the room: walking the yard to see how a job actually moves, sitting with the person who keeps the spreadsheet, or training a team that works better with someone stood next to them.

From Bury, most of Greater Manchester and a good part of Lancashire is an easy drive. When a visit would genuinely help, we'll suggest one. When it wouldn't, we won't make you set aside a morning for it.

02

What working with a local firm is actually like

Local is only worth something if it changes how the work goes. These are the parts where it does.

The same people throughout

You deal directly with the people who design, build and support your system. There's no account manager in the middle, no call centre, and no handover after go-live to a team you've never met.

When you ring about something two years from now, the person who answers knows why the system works the way it does, because they were there when it was decided.

A visit when it helps

Some things are quicker to understand in person. A depot board, a weighbridge, a workshop floor, a lettings office at nine on a Monday. Seeing it once usually saves several calls.

The rest happens on video, at times that suit you, so nobody loses half a day to a meeting that could have been forty minutes.

The order a project runs in is set out under how we work, and what looking after it afterwards covers is on hosting and support.

03

The kinds of business it suits

The north west runs on firms with jobs, kit and paperwork to keep straight. These are the ones whose records have enough in common to get a page of their own.

01

Plant, tool and welfare hire

What's out, who has it, when it's due back, and which inspection falls due next.

02

Skip hire and waste carriers

Containers and days on site, highway permits, transfer notes, and records ready for Digital Waste Tracking, mandatory for carriers from October 2027.

03

Haulage and transport

Runs, vehicles, walk round checks and maintenance dates, live from the road.

04

Construction and trades

Jobs, variations and certificates from enquiry to final account.

05

Manufacturing and fabrication

Works orders, batches and traceability through the shop floor.

06

Food and drink producers

Batch records and traceability from ingredient to finished product.

07

Wedding and function venues

Enquiries, bookings, dietary notes and the running order on one screen.

08

Letting and property management agents

Properties, landlords and the compliance dates that come round every year.

If your line of work isn't here but it has jobs, assets or records to keep straight, it is probably still worth a call. Everything we build is on the services page.

04

How a project runs from fifty miles away

Say you're in Lancaster

  • A free 20-minute intro call
  • An hour or two showing us how the work moves
  • A fixed price in writing
  • Review with your own data
  • Training on site or remotely
  • Go-live alongside what you use now

The same steps as a firm next door to us, in the same order.

It starts with the intro call, by phone or video. You tell us what you'd like the system to do and we ask questions. Then an hour or two where you walk us through how a job moves through the business, usually over a shared screen with whatever you use now open on it. If seeing the yard or the office would make that quicker, that's the visit worth making.

You get a fixed price in writing, with the scope and the dates on it, and what isn't included written as plainly as what is. Nothing starts until you've agreed it.

While we build, you get regular updates and early warning if anything changes. Before it goes live, the people who'll use it every day try the real system with your own data, while there's still time to change how it works. That review works just as well on a call as across a desk.

Training is for the office and for anyone on the road, on site or remotely, whichever suits your team, with a written guide they keep. For the first week it usually runs alongside your current process, so the switch is calm. After that it is hosted in the UK, backed up every night, checked every few minutes, and supported by the same people, 8am to 6pm on weekdays and on Saturday mornings.

If your team works out of vans and sites rather than an office, the app side is covered under mobile app development.

Honest answers

Do we have to be in the north west?

No. Most of a project runs over video calls and shared screens, so it works the same from anywhere in the UK. Being in the north west just makes a visit easier when one would help.

Will you come and see us?

When it helps, yes. Seeing a yard, a workshop or an office in full swing is often the quickest way to understand how the work moves. If a call will do the same job, we'll say so and save you the morning.

Can you name local firms you've worked for?

We don't publish client names, so our customers aren't turned into a list for other suppliers. Once we've spoken, we're happy to put you in touch with a customer in a similar line of work who can tell you what we're like.

Does a local firm cost more?

No. Every project has a fixed price, agreed in writing before work starts, and where you are doesn't change how we work it out. The price comes from what the system needs to do, after we've looked at it, not from a rate card.

Who looks after it once it's live?

We do, the same people who built it. It's hosted in the UK, backed up nightly and kept thirty days, checked every few minutes, and changed as your business changes.

Talk to us

Tell us what the business does, roughly where you are, and what you'd like to keep track of. That's usually enough for us to say whether we can help. Wanting it quicker or tidier is reason enough.
