What we do

Start with one system. Grow it from there.

Whatever your business runs on today, a spreadsheet, a whiteboard or a package you've outgrown, we turn it into a proper system with logins, history and backups, put your team on it, automate the routine work where it saves time, and keep it working from then on. The work has a shape rather than a size: it can start with one team and grow to several sites.

Where most people start

The one thing the whole business depends on, often a spreadsheet or a whiteboard, moved into a proper system. One version of the truth, a full history, and live within weeks.

Where it usually ends up

Several sites and one set of numbers. Customers and subcontractors logged in, your accounts package connected, approvals and a full audit trail.

Mobile apps for your field teams

The day's work on a phone, completed as it happens, with photos, checklists and signatures sent straight back to the office.

What we build

The systems we build most often

Each one is built for the business that needs it, rather than bought off the shelf and worked around.

Have something else in mind? Book a 20-minute call, or see all the systems we build. Any of them can have AI features built in where they save time, from website chat to documents drafted from your own data.

Ask about our free Business Systems Assessment

An hour with whoever runs the day to day. Clear recommendations to act on.

We look at how the work actually runs and what it runs on, then send you a list of what we would change, what each change would do for the business, and what it would take. In person or online, whichever suits you. Nothing to pay, nothing to sign.

Mobile app development

Mobile apps for teams in the field

Drivers, engineers, inspectors and site teams carry the app. The office sees the work as it's done, on the same system, without waiting for paperwork to come back.

  • iPhone and Android: published to the App Store and Google Play.
  • Photos, checklists and signatures: captured on site, not written up later.
  • Connected to the office: jobs, schedules and records update instantly.
  • Supported by us: updates, store listings and new features handled.

How we work

A clear process, from first call to go-live

The same seven steps on every project, so you always know what's happening, what it costs and what comes next. Your current way of working carries on until the new system has proved itself.

Working through how a job moves through the business
  1. Step 1

    A 20-minute call

Booked online in a minute. You tell us what you'd like the system to do and we ask questions. For most firms it arranges the free Business Systems Assessment. No commitment.

  2. Step 2

    Fixed price, in writing

Scope, price and timescale agreed before anything starts, with what's not included written down as clearly as what is.

  3. Step 3

    Build

Usually a few weeks for a first system, with regular updates and early warning if anything changes.

  4. Step 4

    Review with your data

You use the real system with your own data while there's still time to adjust how it works.

  5. Step 5

    Training

Sessions for the office and for anyone on the road, plus a written guide your team keeps.

  6. Step 6

    Go live

Usually alongside your current process for the first week, so the switch is calm.

  7. Step 7

    Ongoing support

Hosted, backed up, monitored and developed as your business changes.

Who we are

A software company in Bury, Greater Manchester

We build the operational systems UK businesses run on, and then we run them. Because we look after everything we build, we build it to last: fewer moving parts, documented as we go, and straightforward for your team to use.

You deal directly with the people who design, build and support your system. No account managers, no call centre, and no handover to a team you've never met.

We don't publish client names, so our customers aren't turned into a list for other suppliers. Once we've spoken, we're happy to put you in touch with a customer in a similar line of work who can tell you what we're like to work with.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Eight of the questions we're asked most. The full list covers cost, timing, data, apps and what happens after go-live. Anything else, ask us.

How much does it cost?

Every project has a fixed price, agreed in writing before work starts. We look at what you need first rather than quoting from a description, so the price fits the job. We won't come back asking for more because something turned out harder than expected. After the intro call we'll give you a clear sense of whether it's a small project or a larger one, so you can decide before anyone spends time on a detailed quote. Ongoing hosting and support is a fixed monthly fee, agreed at the same time.

What happens if something happens to you?

It's a fair question, and we'd ask it too. Every system is documented as we go, hosted on mainstream UK infrastructure rather than anything of our own making, and backed up every night to a separate location. Your data can be exported in a standard format whenever you ask, and we'll show you how on day one.

How long does it take?

A first system is usually a few weeks rather than months. If we think something will take longer, we'll tell you before you've committed to anything.

Do you build mobile apps as well as web systems?

Yes. We build apps for iPhone and Android, published to the App Store and Google Play and connected to the same system your office uses. Where a mobile web app will do the job just as well, we'll recommend it.

What's the difference between bespoke and off-the-shelf software?

Off-the-shelf software is built for the average business, so your team adapts to it. Bespoke software is built around how your business already works, with only the screens and steps you need. It tends to make sense when your work has a shape packaged software doesn't quite fit, or when several tools need to become one.

Can you work with the software we already use?

Usually, yes. Much of what we build connects to software a business already relies on, such as accounts and payroll, so figures are entered once rather than twice.

We're not very technical. Is that a problem?

Not at all. The people who'll use the system have a say in how it works before it goes live, and everyone is trained before launch.

How much of our time will it take?

Less than people expect. Usually the intro call, an hour or two to walk us through how the work moves, a review session with your own data, and training before go-live. We do the rest.

Or send us a note

Let's talk about what you need

Pick what you'd like to keep track of, add a line if you want to, and leave a name and a way to reach you. We'll take it from there. Wanting it quicker or tidier is reason enough.

  1. We reply the same working day with a few questions, or an honest answer if it isn't for us.
  2. The intro call, 20 minutes by phone or video. Bring whatever you use now, even a screenshot of the spreadsheet helps.
  3. A fixed price in writing if it's a fit, after an hour or two walking us through how the work moves. No obligation and no follow-up sales calls. If it isn't a fit, we'll say so and point you somewhere useful.
